The Curriculum and Instruction Department helps teachers implement the Academic Content Standards, Benchmarks, Grade Level Indicators, and Career/Technical Standards adopted by the State of Ohio.
Areas of curriculum & instruction continue to be revised in our building year after year During the 2009-2010 school year English, Math, Science, and Social Studies will be reviewed and upgraded in support of our five year cycle to meet the demanding changes in trends within the curriculum. With the focus on passage of the Ohio Graduation Tests, Intervention classes and after school tutoring will be offered to students on a volunteer basis. With changes taking place within the state, the curriculum, and the rewriting of our courses of study, we feel our course offerings at the Warren County Career Center are not only up-to-date, but give our students a broad spectrum for each to pursue formal education upon completion of high school as well as for those who will enter the work force.
The Curriculum & Instruction Department along with Warren County Career Center teachers are developing instructional units and lessons consistent with the State of Ohio Academic Content Standards.
Additionally, all textbooks are screened and aligned with the Academic Content Standards and/or Career/Technical Standards and approved by the Board of Education in support of our five year cycle.
