As each program has a business advisory committee that consults on curriculum and workforce development needs, each program also offers opportunities for students to interact with business partners.
Many of our business advisors support our students through a variety of opportunities such as field trips to industrial and business sites, classroom speakers, connections with apprenticeships if available in the students’ field of study, mentoring, early job placement, internships and job shadowing experiences, judging Career-Technical Student Organization skills events, and serving as speakers at open house events. We rely on our business partners to keep instructors current with industry standards in their field of instruction and provide relevant employment opportunity information.
